Although Alexander Wang planned on starting his fashion career after graduating from the Parsons School of Design, he soon realized that school wasn’t for him and dropped out to make his vision a reality. With his family’s support and connections to manufacturers, Wang was able to debut his first runway collection at the New York Fashion Week in 2007. (Just 3 years after dropping out!) Wang’s collection was so chic that Anna Wintour took notice and chose to feature the young designer. After winning numerous awards, Wang expanded his line to accessories, menswear, and a more affordable line: T By Alexander Wang.
